Now the Photographs gallery is easier to manage I have been catching up on uploading missing photographs for the last couple of days. I've gone back through my collection for the last two or three years and added quite a few. Some are just single photograph additions and some are complete rides / events.

To keep things complete and tidy I have now completed the move of all the relevant race and ride reports from the old site to this new one. The old blog has been deleted and you can now read them all here.
I've also been fettling the comments functionality of the site. It was using two systems: one for articles and one for gallery photographs. A bit messy! Now everything uses the same system.
I'm starting to think I'm about there with the transition from old web site to new? :)

I realised that the new videos that use flash player were fully downloading before playback started. I've fixed this so that they will start sooner. You will still probably have to hit pause to allow enough of the video to download before it will play nicely (depending on your connection speed) so please still be patient. The control panel for the player is now also permanently displayed instead of requiring a mouse over.
I had also forgotten to upload the Bestwood video to the new site! I've now added it here

If you do your own fettling then you have probably at some point trawled the internet looking for a service guide or manual that is no longer available on the manufacturer's web site or was difficult to find?
Mountain Bike Rides now has a library of these documents free for anyone to download? Registered users can also help by uploading documents to expand the library. Why not have a rummage round your hard drive and see if you have anything you can add?

I've added the recent hi-definition videos that were hosted elsewhere (Pinkbike & Mpora) directly to the site. This means you can watch them without adverts. There are two from the down hill area at Cannock Chase and three of rides in Nottinghamshire.
The videos are uploaded in hi-definition (720p) and you have the option to watch them full screen so the quality should be much better than the old videos. You will however need to have the latest version of Flashplayer installed and be patient with downloads as high quality = big files.
Let me know what you think as I need to decide if new videos will be in this format or whether I host them elsewhere for better speed (but with adverts). You can also download the videos for playback on your own computer if you wish?
