Dalby is hosting a round of the world cup next year so I hoped there would be more to the course than just a load of trail centre type stuff?

Arrived Sat night with my tent to be told about the five foot rock drop, the ten foot rock drop, the bit I had to take this and that line on and the horrendous climbs. 10 people had been hospitalised so I was told. Blah blah blah. Thought I'd better have a glass of wine to calm the nerves in the KTM van. I survived my practice lap next morning without dying, but really enjoyed the course. It was brilliant and not really that hard. I think Joe nearly killed himself on it though!

Well done Mick. 3rd place with a crash, you must be happy with that . Hope you weren't trying to be too rad for a guy your age!

While you lot were off having fun, I was trying to convince myself I was having fun. Mens pairs at Enduro 6. Get the excuses in early - Matt the KTM team mate had smashed himself up the week before in the lakes, and I like beer and curry.

Last year a few of us did the first Avalanche Enduro at Kielder. We enjoyed it a lot and thought "this is a race format that we like". This year 11 of us headed up for the weekend to compete again.

Round 1 was a new venue for me, some big park near Rugby. Grass, and a lot of pretty good singletrack in the woods. Thankgod it didn't rain though.
