As I always have to be prepared for the weekly night ride in adavance and head there straight from work I'm generally going to be there whatever the weather. This week there were proper storms blasting against the office windows in the late afternoon so I had everything crossed that the BBC weather forecast was right: it said it would clear before the ride began at 7pm.

For the first time that I can remember there was change on Saturday! Wonders will never cease! ;-) The usual ride moved venue. Victorian Dad instigated it and everyone met at Limes Cafe for a lap of Sherwood Pines.

Last night it was the first day of December and amazingly the first ride this winter that I can say actually felt wintery too! It was below five degrees and there was plenty of moisture about.

In complete contrast to the week before there were loads of people out on the usual ride on Saturday. I think I counted 13 in total? The large crowd were enjoying their pre-ride chit-chat so much they didn't even notice when Baz headed off out of the pub car park! I had to inform them that the ride had started.

Another Thursday means another couple of hours pedalling in the dark! :-) This week we started from Farnsfield. I haven't ridden from there since last winter and so was looking forward to a change.
