As we have had a good early start to the "local riding season" we have been trying cover as many of the local trails as possible to check out their condition after winter. The other advantage of doing this is it keeps things interesting as our routes vary from one ride to the next. Last night continued the idea with a trip out into the Vale of Belvoir and back.

Just Steve and I on this one. We headed south out of town and did a variation of the Burrough Hill route with an extension out past Red Lodge farm and back.

A beautiful Sunday afternoon saw Jamie, Choc, Steve, Ricky and I meeting up in Melton Country Park for an afternoon ride. We initially headed out towards Waltham via the bridleway opposite Melton Spinney.

Another mild dry night saw Parsley, Choc, Steve and I heading out to enjoy some more local trails. Steve was late arriving due to getting home from work traffic problems so it was half six by the time we set off from Melton.

With rain on Sunday and Monday and a downpour forecast for Tuesday I wasn't expecting to get out on Tuesday evening. However the forcast was wrong and we decided to chance the Leicestershire clay.
